MEGAcel ® II ME

MINI-PLEAT EPTFE MEMBRANE ULPA FILTER

Product Overview
  • Available in H13 - U17 efficiency
  • Lowest initial resistance available
  • Negligible off-gassing properties (no boron)
  • AAF International’s high tensile strength ePTFE media is up to 8 times stronger than microglass
  • Highly resistant to corrosive environments (acids, alkalis, and organic substances)
  • Gasket seal, gel seal and knife-edge designs available
  • Lightweight anodised aluminium frame

This ULPA filter has ultra-high efficiency, with an ultra-low resistance ePTFE membrane.

The AAF International ePTFE pleated pack resistance is a minimum of 30% lower than conventional micro fibreglass media, a factor contributing to a great reduction in fan energy consumption. AAF International’s pleating method, which uses intermittent polyamide separators, allows more open media area, optimising pleat pack resistance.

Compared with micro fibreglass media, AAF International's ePTFE media provides superior benefits, including inert chemical properties, more uniform fibre distribution, and smaller fibre diameters and pore size. This reduces resistance, creating higher filtration performance to achieve substantial energy savings.

Tooling environments often produce harmful and corrosive by-products. The MEGAcel filter is extremely resistant to these harsh conditions, and also offers superior efficiency and pressure drop characteristics. Manufactured with high quality ePTFE media, the MEGAcel filter is water-resistant and meets the requirements of UL900. The media pack is permanently attached to an anodised extruded aluminium frame with a urethane adhesive.

Negligible Off-Gassing

AAF International's ePTFE media has a smaller pore size and fibre diameter than micro fibreglass. These characteristics significantly reduce the levels of off-gassing impurities typical to micro fibreglass (which include boron, sodium, potassium, and silicon) to below detectable limits.

High Corrosion Resistance

AAF International's ePTFE media has been proven to be resistant in highly corrosive environments, including alkaline, acid, and organic substances. All of these environments can be found in semiconductor manufacturing processes.

Superior Water Resistance

AAF International's ePTFE media provides superior water resistance in comparison with micro fibreglass and low boron micro fibreglass media.
